Egmont - We Bring Stories to Life

Rabbit’s House

Rabbit is, by his own account, a Very Important Animal. He lives to the north of the Hundred Acre Wood and just south of the sandy pit where Roo plays.

Rabbit has lots and lots of friends and relations including other rabbits, hedgehogs and beetles. His friends and relations keep him occupied, which is good because Rabbit much prefers busy days to ones where you do nothing.

Rabbit is clever, like Owl. According to Rabbit, both he and Owl have brains whereas Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and the others just have fluff. Christopher Robin is fond of everyone in the Hundred Acre Wood but it is Rabbit on whom he depends (or so Rabbit thinks).

Rabbit is the perfect host; he keeps his larder stocked with condensed milk, honey and bread. Unfortunately for Pooh, Pooh once ate so much honey at Rabbit’s house that he got stuck in the doorway. Rabbit made the most of the situation and used Pooh’s back
legs to dry his towels on!
