Egmont - We Bring Stories to Life

Eeyore’s Gloomy Place

Eeyore is a far-from-merry soul who lives in a Rather Gloomy Place by the stream in the Hundred Acre Wood. He can usually be found munching on a patch of prickly thistles and gazing at the ground. Eeyore tends to think a lot and is often rather grumpy, but deep down he is a sensitive soul.

Eeyore’s friends love him very much. For his birthday, Pooh Bear bought him a pot of honey and Piglet bought him a balloon. Unfortunately, Pooh ate the honey and Piglet burst the balloon. But Eeyore realised that even an empty pot and burst balloon have their uses and spent the afternoon putting the balloon inside the pot and taking it out, over and over again.

Eeyore can be quite forgetful; he once lost his tail, only to find that Owl was using it as a bell-pull. He once also lost his home, but in actual fact Pooh and Piglet had moved it to somewhere quite other . . .
